Science Fiction Anthology

Volume 1

Stories collected & edited by Ian James House

Submissions & Guidelines: Image

Submissions Open

We welcome you to submit your short stories to the first Science Fiction Anthology from House Publishing House. For our first volume, the theme is wide open and any form of science fiction short story is acceptable.   We are also interested in cross-genre pieces as long as they still contain a healthy dose of science fiction.

Stories should be between 1500 and 7000 words although this is not a hard limit. Once accepted we will provide editing and formatting services.

Submissions may be submitted to other publications but you must let us know if they are accepted elsewhere.  Reprints are not accepted.

As this is the first publication from House Publishing House we sadly cannot offer any form of compensation for stories. Submitting to HPH should be seen as a chance to get your work published with your peers, many of whom are published authors, in an exciting new publication. All copyright is still retained by the author and you are free to reprint them anywhere after the first publication of this volume. We will also be adding a "works" page where authors can link to their books and advertise themselves.

Please submit files as a Microsoft Word document, size 12 with a regular font.  Please provide a brief overview of your story, and yourself, in your cover letter of the email.

We aim to publish 2 anthologies a year. The deadline for this anthology is 31st May 2022 (with an aim for publication of early July).
